BiographyJorienDesign is owned by Dutch designer Jorien Kuipers. During her study at the Design Academy Eindhoven, department Man & Leisure, she developed her passion for products and concepts around food and non-food. Her main focus is about interaction between consumers and food, packaging and paper. Her designs and concepts are based on logical combinations which are re-examined in an experimental manner. Because of her practical and structural vision she is able to deform abstract and conceptual ideas to realistic products with marketing value and technical feasibility. Her broad education in combination with her passion and personality is what makes JorienDesign.
A long breakfast together on a Sunday morning. Jorien Kuipers cherishes this special moment on the only real day off that is left. This breakfast set will add some lustre to the tradition. The elegant objects form a special packaging for sandwich toppings - from chocolate sprinkles to jams and cheeses. The material, coated paper pulp, refers to the box that holds the traditional Sunday breakfast egg. The shape of the collection is based on the still lifes by the Italian painter Morandi. They are small and delicate novelty utensils that will complete your breakfast ritual. They will look fine with your porcelain but can just as easily be an eye-catcher on you table.
A lunchbox made from the Rubbertree. Two refined ecological wooden bowls, surprisingly bound together by natural rubber. Open the lid, turn it 90 degrees and your prepared lunch will present itself. Enjoy your lunch, enjoy the moment. photos: Jordy Caris
