Can marble stone be light, airy and flexible?
Of course it can, just leave it in the able hands of designer Lucy Salamanca and see her latest project Doble Paso!
It is the layered structure and the ‘empty spaces’ that gives the Doble Paso that air of weightlessness, even though it is made from overlapping slabs of Grey Quartzite, held together by steel joints.
By using slabs of different shapes and sizes, it's possible to radically change the appearance of the seat and obtain an infinite number of aesthetic combinations.
This would certainly fit in my garden next to the barbecue, where would you put yours?
