Recession is a serious thing. This is the idea behind the project of Crisis Chair, designed by Maarten den Breeijen and Pierre Buttin. A good project created through the use of two tables of the Ikea collection.

Lack – this is the table's name – is also my favourite product: small, light and easy to assemble. It suits my livingroom so well that I never thought to use it as a chair. It costs less than 10 euros and that makes it a nice pick for people who want to afford design furniture during recession.

Designers said «The project is not an intend to criticize or praise IKEA. It is a simple attempt to highlight the company's role in the fight against the recession».

Design pills: necessity is the mother of invention!
