Have you ever been to Barcelona? Further the Rambla and other famous places, between the Avinguda Meridiana and Avinguda Diagonal, there's an amazing experimental district inspired by a digital city model based on ICT - information and communication technology, where architecture is able to connect with the real own needs and values: 22@Barcelona

The Media-ICT building, designed by spanish studio Cloud 9, Enric Ruiz-Geli wan the World Architecture Awards 2011 like 'Building of the Year', with its innovative inflatable facade and 'eco-friendly' solutions.

I like this building, but my favourite things are the shiny and hyper-green interior spaces.

The building is divided so that the upper floors (from fourth to eighth) are rented for big companies, the second and third floor have small spaces for emergent companies and the first floor with the Cibernariun and an auditorium offers a course program oppen to all the city residents. The ground floor does not have pillars; public space invades the building with 36m x 40m of free space. The lobby of the building can host exhibitions, workshops, events...

Incredible effects are made by the use of bioluminescent painting: the entire "digital" structure is visible in the night, but it doesn't waste energy. It's self-sufficient, welcome to the future...
