I don't know if cold weather could inspire, but it seems to me that anything coming from a scandinavian country is absolutely gorgeous. And this sushi place in Espoo confirms it!
Tiger Sushi has been designed by the interior architect Joanna Laajisto. Located just outside of Finland´s capital Helsinki, this stylish restaurant opened last year.
Japanese minimalism and Scandinavian simplicity work well together. All the wood work are made from locally sourced materials.
The bar and the surrounding walls are whitewashed knotty pine plywood and the tables are made of solid oak. The wooden louvers isolate the restaurant from the surrounding environment filtering the light.
I love the contrast of the black elements with the bright space, and the beautiful blue wallpaper designed by Spanish artist Ana Montiel brings the delicate touch of colour. Impressed!
